Programs are available for players born from September 1, 2017 – August 31, 2022.
Beginning with the 25-26 seasonal year ALL recreational players will be placed in a seasonal year age group formation cycle based on September 1 to August 31. This transition from birth year to age group formation cycle is in alignment with US Youth Soccer (USYS), US Club Soccer, and American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) that will go into effect for all travel leagues starting with the 2026-27 season. The change allows for more opportunity for a majority of players to play recreational and travel soccer with their classmates. See age groups and program descriptions below before registering your child.

NOTE: Looking ahead to the 26-27 seasonal year, the age groups will be August 1- July 31 to align with the updated change from US Youth Soccer.

REMEMBER! Falsifying registration information is prohibited. Your child will be removed from the program and absolutely NO REFUNDS will be given. Teams are formed by age appropriateness. The league reserves the right to request and verify each participant’s birth certificate.

COACHES ARE THE BACKBONE OF OUR ORGANIZATION!

We are a 100% volunteer organization and need coaches to support our programs.

The goal for the HSC recreation program is to introduce soccer to players and coaches of all skill levels. We’re dedicated to provide a positive learning environment, teach fundamental soccer skills, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.  All programs are staffed with trainers and volunteer-parent coaches.  Trainers will provide guidance to coaches throughout the season, so please consider volunteering.

PRE-TRAVEL ACADEMY FAQ:

Why does Harrison SC have a Pre-Travel Academy?

Harrison SC observed over the past several years that many of the newly formed travel teams were lacking in several areas of player development. Areas such as player spacing, fundamental skills, and “the laws of the game” were all significantly behind many of the other teams they were facing. In order to address this gap we decided to offer a fall and spring supplemental program that bridges the gap between the traditional rec program and the travel team programs offered by the club.

What are the benefits of participating in the Pre-Travel Academy?

The HSC Pre-Travel Academy is a supplemental program designed for families who want to prepare their young recreational soccer players for the next step in HSC’s player pathway.  HSC has chosen to work alongside Diamond Soccer to prepare small (36 player maximum) select groups of boys and girls to train and prepare them to transition to the travel program in the 26-27 seasonal year. The program is open to all fall registered micro players, U7 & U8 players.  New U8 (2018 for travel) Spring ‘26  travel players are not permitted to enroll in the program. We do believe the best option is for players to make the transition to travel soccer when first available.

Can you tell me more about the possibility of a tournament?

Tournament participation is not guaranteed and teams will be chosen by the Academy trainers for both boys and girls.  Tournament participation will require an additional cost.

What if I am a volunteer-parent interested in coaching a travel team?

The Diamond Staff Trainers anticipate and encourage working alongside any parent volunteers who may have an interest in coaching one of these future HSC travel teams.  This will allow HSC to also have a head start on assisting potential coaches with their coaching education.
